This email was sent out to many Adword users on Sept. 25, 2009. Many people have been chatting on forums all about this news that just came out. From what people are saying is that Google seems to have decided it doesn’t want the money from many people using AdWords to drive traffic to thin affiliate sites, which it’s already been penalising out of its organic results for several years. Some people were lucky to get warning messages where other Adword advertisers got this message instead, " Your AdWords Account Suspended Due To Repeated Site Quality Violations ".

As you can imagine it left many Adword advertisers worried, scared or mad depending on what message they got. Lots of business owners rely on Google Adwords for advertising and getting traffic, as Google is the largest search engine on the Internet today.

What's unfortunate about the whole thing is that many Adword advertisers use their service honestly and abide by all the rules and regulations that Google puts in its policy. Many people are being affected by this news where they probably shouldn't have been. I understand that Google is trying to protect users experience but in the mean time innocent people are being affected by this change. Some websites and blogs that offer people great content, and great user experience getting what they were looking for are being affected by this latest news from Google.

Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains

Some of you after changing to custom domains are seeing this error message "blogs may not be hosted at naked domains". I am seeing this too. I was on the Google Blogger Help Forum and found out I was 1 out of 3 other people who are seeing this message. You can see this error message below as I took a screen shot:

Just yesterday I had some custom domain problems but since now I have that fixed from some helpful bloggers on the Blogger Help Forum. I am in the process of finding out what to do with this error message I am getting after re-publishing my blog to my custom domain. I will update this after I get some more information. As far as I know now is I have to recycle domain settings in Google Apps but I will update further info as I get it. I'm still unsure why people are seeing this error message "blogs may not be hosted at naked domains". I'll find out soon.

Custom Domain Names DNS error Blogger Blogs Today

For all those who have custom domain names that redirects their blogspot blogs from blogger to their own unique domain, you were all probably scratching your heads today. Most of you were receiving " Oops! This link appears broken. DNS error- cannot find server". I know cause I was one of them. Here is what I saw this afternoon:

I was completely stumped on what was going on with my domain. I had set up custom domains on several of my blogs including this one months back and did not have any problems. Then today none of my custom domain name blogs were online. I went onto Google Groups, the Blogger Help Forum to see if others were experiencing the same issue. I was glad to know that I wasn't the only one. Lots of bloggers were giving advice on what to do but I wasn't sure on this. Like I said I set up my custom domains a while back and they were working just fine until today.

I decided to call GoDaddy who my domain names are registered with and they took a look into it for me. They said as long as I forward my domain name to itself everything should be fine. So I went in forward it to itself as like GoDaddy advised me to and a few hours later my blogs were online again. The funny thing that gets me is why were they working fine before until today??? Guess I won't know until I do some more research online. So if any of you are experiencing some problems with your blogger blogs with custom domains try this and it should work. It did for me anyway. Wish you best of luck and let me know if others had the same problem today with custom domains with Blogger.

Update: After following some advice from Chuck The Real Blogger Status from Google Groups the Blogger Help Forum he showed me a way to make my blog more reliable so that it is online all the time. After doing the changes that worked I saw a error message when I published back to my custom domain " blogs may not be hosted at naked domains" I will be on the Google Blogger Help Forum to know more on what this is. For other people to know what I am seeing I am uploading a screenshot of what I am seeing here:

Anyone else receiving this message please feel free to comment. I guess a lot of people have been having the same issues with custom domains and unable to find server.

Adsense Ads Not Showing On Blogger Blogs Today

People may have found a shock today to see adsense ads not showing up on their Blogger Blogs today. Last night is when I noticed this problem as I was creating new adsense codes for my goldfish blog. After I made the change I noticed that only public service ads were showing. I thought this was kind of weird.

I did notice that the link unit ads are different now. I suspect that Google may be trying something new that may have created this problem. It could have cause a glitch in their system. I can just imagine how many people thought that their Google Adsense account may have been banned. It probably scared some people today as they went and checked their adsense earnings. The good thing about it is that only Blogger blogs had this problem happen to. On websites adsense ads were showing up fine as I checked my MakingMoneyForLife.com and it was working just great. For any Adsense publishers who only have Blogger blogs they must have been pretty darn scared to see there earnings thgis morning at $0. Hopefully Google will get this problem fixed soon as I went around looking on Google Groups to see many people discussing this issue.

Lets hope and pray that our Adsense Ads begin showing up on our Blogger blogs soon.

Blog traffic is something we all wish would be there as soon as we set up a blog and watch the steady increase of readers coming in to read it. That's definitely not the case! People need to start building their blog traffic and get readers to your blog. Just by setting up your blog, doesn't mean the readers are there.

There are several things people need to do to generate blog traffic and here I am going to show you ways to get more hits to your blog.

1. Create good content. With good quality content on your blog chances are you will keep people coming back to read more. Also If your writing is that good they might even share that with friends creating new readership.

2. Commenting on blogs. Surf the Internet and find other great blogs around the same topic that your blog is about. By simply doing this you will get hits from your comment as your name is a link back to your blog. Commenting on blogs is a sure way to increase blog traffic and link popularity.

3. Use pictures and images. People like to see things with their own eye. Have pictures and photos on your blog. Make it eye appealing and if your referring to statistics on something or someone show a picture. Everyone loves looking at pictures. Sometimes words are not enough people want to see for themselves. A good example of this is on one of my blogs where I show people step by step how to divide water lilies with pictures you can see by clicking on the link.

4. Ping your blog. The search engines need to know when you update your blog. Use Pingomatic to let them know you updated it. Updating your blog regularly increases blog traffic and page rank.

5. Join traffic exchange programs. A good way to increase traffic is BlogExplosion but beware if your a member of Adsense and have Adsense Ads on your blog it may violate TOS. I don't use traffic exchange programs myself but they do work. Just be careful with programs you join and check with Adsense rules to make sure you comply with TOS.

6. Submit Blog to directories. This is something people should definitely do, helps gain more link popularity with one way links or reciprocal linking and gets you blog traffic.

Just by using these simple blogging tips will get you more traffic to your blog. People need to continue doing the things to increase traffic and keep building upon that to get even more readers to your blog. Hope these blog traffic tips bring you more traffic to your blog. Block Delete Alert!!!Yesterday I received a link through Windows Live Chat from a contact of mine linking me to BlockDelete.com All there was, was just a link and nothing more and it was a little weird to me. What BlockDelete's website does is captures your Windows Live Messenger Details which you give to get this suppose to be free service to find out who blocked you on MSN Messenger from their contact lists.

What happens when you sign up for this and enter your information you are then logged in onto another computer which they now have access to all your contact lists. What they then do is begin spamming people sending them the link from your account and getting others to do the same. So if you get a message from one of your contacts with just a link people should question this even though they know its suppose to be coming from a trusted contact.

Many of us use MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and Skype just to name a few in which this person may be trying other Messenging sites as well. We all use these nice tools for us to communicate with family, friends, co-workers and people also use this as a nice way for business as well which saves a ton on long distance. We should inform as many people as we can about this latest scam or hacker to say so that people are aware of not to do when they get such a link.

Yeah unfortunately I was a victim of Block Delete scam as well. I had all the warning signs of a scam but I went ahead and did it anyways as it came from someone I knew. That’s how Block Delete works so well, people usually trust the person it came from.

Also the link that is being sent to people is ww.dont-miss-this.com I left out the other “w” in the address as I dont want that link linking to block Delete. He is using that address that redirects to Block Delete. He will also continue to change the URL that redirects as MSN I beleive is fighting this hacker as we speak. You cannot type in those two URL’s dont-miss-this.com and blockdelete.com

People should strongly think what they do before doing it, I never do, had all the warning signs telling me not too but did anyways. People should change their password right away and also log out of MSN Messenger right away as I beleive that shuts down the other MSN on their computer as well and then re-log back in.

People should also try and send a personal email from another account warning people not to do this, and explain why. We need to stop this guy from doing this to people. Just make sure you don’t fall victim of this stuff. I also went did a google search on and typed in “who is” which shows you who registered that web adresss by typing in the domain on one of the search results that come up. It was registered by GoDaddy and is a private registration. He doesn not want to be found.

Always be weary on entering in other log in information on others websites. Do background research and the best thing to do is, “do nothing at all” don’t sign up, enter data, nothing. Close the website and like the saying goes follow your gut if you have any weird feelings concerning a website.

The good thing is that MSN Messenger is helping stop this block delete scam, hacker. I would suggest if you have any personal information on your email account to forward it to another or delete it as this Block Delete hacker could have access to personal information of yours.

Lets work together, share this information with family and friends so that other people don’t fall victims of this Block delete.com or dont-miss-this.com scam.

If by chance you did sign up to that what you need to do is CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY. You can log into your account and then click on the right hand side "options" then you can see your personal information and change the password immdediately. Also if your other contacts were sucked into this scam as well make sure you let your contacts know as well. Together we will stop this BlockDelete.com scam that is relatively new that came out. I checked and that website was registered in March '07. Just be on the look out as well for any future changes this person does as I heard he changes the URL once a week to redirect new people to this scam site.

Why You're Losing Traffic and How to Make Them Stay

Don't make these common mistakes that turn off your visitors, never to return
If you’re like most website owners, chances are you’re losing a large percentage of your visitors before they complete a desired action on your website. Although the number of factors that drive potential consumers away can be varied, I’ve noticed many common mistakes in my work of designing websites for optimal performance. Here’s where many sites go wrong:

1. Lack of a Clear Purpose

Why was your site designed? What is the purpose of your site? Are you selling a product or service? Are you sharing information or serving as a forum to aggregate ideas and comments? Are you providing a social benefit?

If your website doesn’t communicate its purpose in 3 seconds or less, you’re going to lose visitors. I’ve seen this on numerous occassions, especially among companies who don’t know what they want their site to be or communicate. Make sure your website has a clear purpose and everything else will follow.

2. Making it Long-Winded and Complicated

Today, individuals have less time than ever before. As a result, time is their most precious asset – don’t waste it. The majority of people using the internet today still prefer brevity over verse. Try to say what you need to say in as few words as possible. If users have to scroll through 2 screens or more then it’s too much.

When writing for your site, highlight things of importance. You can use bulleted lists, short paragraphs, bolded and underlined text. Some of you may be asking about the marketing websites with long copy. If you know what I’m talking about, these are generally marketing pages (squeeze pages) that have been developed to promote a single product or service. This is not what I’m referring to here. For websites, copy should be brief and to the point.

3. Giving Web Visitors Too Many Distractions

As I alluded to before, websites should be designed with the single purpose of directing visitors to the information they want. This is the reason why I don’t promote Google Adwords on my website. Why? Because it distracts potential buyers from purchasing what I have to offer. Don’t get me wrong, I make a nice living promoting affiliate products, but I do so on my own terms and I only promote those products that I haver personally reviewed and approve of.

4. Eroding Your Own Credibility

Does your website give first time visitors plenty of reasons to trust you? Website visitors are constantly looking for reasons why they should abandon your site. Does your site have a number of spelling errors or images that don’t display? How easy is it to find your 800 number or other contact information?

If you want to develop trust among your visitors, make sure that the basics are covered, that your site looks and feels the part of a well established company. Present important information in obvious places, have an about section, and make it easy for visitors to contact you via email or phone. This will establish trust and confidence in their buying decisions.

5. Not Giving Web Visitors Enough Options

When offering a product or service, it’s a true benefit to offer multiple options, but not too many. You want to make sure that website visitors have more than one item, price point, or model to choose from. When analyzing why people leave websites, I’ve found that the reasons are much to often simpler than you might think; “I didn’t want everything in the package, only the trading cards…”, “They had X but didn’t offer Y”, “The price was too high…”, etc.

People like options. Identify the most compelling bundles or most popular products and offer solutions at various price points. This is the most effective way to position your products or services.

6. Giving Web Visitors Too Many Obstacles

Removing obstacles to a purchase is the most important thing you can do to ensure optimal sell through. Do you make people go through the order processing system before they can find out how much something costs, or do you demand potential customers read all of the fine print that only a lawyer could understand? Is your order process long and complicated?

When evaluating the effectiveness of a website’s checkout process, I’ve always found a large drop off rate. In fact, the majority of consumers who click, “buy now” never finish the purchase. The discipline of marketing can often be complex and confusing. As a marketing veteran, I have seen countless marketing professionals get hung up on various aspects of marketing that have little impact on actual marketing results.

Based on my experience, there are four critical elements to an effective marketing campaign. Whether you're looking to improve your search engine marketing results, internet marketing, or marketing in general, be sure to follow these simple guidelines which I refer to as the A.T.O.M approach.

A.T.O.M - Audience, Timing, Offer, Message

1. Know Your Audience
No one can effectively market, communicate, or sell without knowing their audience or what motivates them to buy. Is your potential customer male or

female? Young or old? A first time buyer or frequent purchaser? Are they the final decision maker? Do they have preferences for a particular product, service, or delivery method? The more you know about your audience, the more targeted and relevant your marketing can be.

2. Timing is Everything
Even with the most convincing marketing campaign, prospects will have no interest in your product or service if you aren't communicating to them at the right time. Be sure your marketing message is in front of prospects when they're ready to buy. This could be at a particular time of year or perhaps prior to a life event.

3. Finding the Right Offer
In direct marketing, experts say that results are 40% dependant on your list, 40% on the offer, and 20% on your creative. The same is true for internet

marketing, search engine marketing, and the like. Test your offers and find the one that out performs all the others. This offer should continually be tested and refined to improve your results.

4. Its all about the Messaging
If you know your audience well enough, you should be able to craft a message that addresses their needs and differentiates your product or service

If you want to know how to increase web traffic instantly, then learn about Google Adwords. This is the most targeted form of marking on the Internet. However, it requires that you have a marketing budget and can realize a positive return on your investment.

Google Adwords allow you to drive traffic to your website using a specific keyword or phrase. Your ad appears across the Internet on websites displaying relative content. When users click on your ad, they are redirected to your web site. You must pay each time a user clicks on your ad which can get expensive, especially because a click does not guarantee a sale. Therefore, before using Google Adwords, you must fully understand how to increase web traffic using online marketing techniques such as cost per click and generating a positive ROI.

Optimizing your Webpages
